3 Tricks to looking Bright-eyed and Bushy-tailed! Even when you're not.

Everyone has those days where they wake up looking less than flattering.  When you look in the mirror and all you see are bags and dark circles.  So here's some easy tricks that won't add hours to your morning routine!

Smudge and Soften

Strong lines will make your tired eyes stand out. So on days where your eyes are looking a little less than perfect, soften the lines of your eyeliner by using a pencil eyeliner instead of liquid, and lightly smudge it out with a q-tip or makeup brush.  Using a softer grey or brown instead of a strong black will also help created a gentler look.

White your Waterline

This is one of my favourites.  Take a good quality eyeliner, one that is water resistant like EyEnvy's Dreamliner in White, and line your lower waterline. This will make your eyes look bigger, brighter and definitely refreshed!

Curl Curl Curl

Curling your lashes makes your eyes look larger and more awake! Use an eyelash primer like Blinc Black Lash Primer before you curl and it will help keep the hold during the day. Start your curler at the base of your lashes, then ‘walk’ it up the rest of the way. Apply mascara afterwards as usual!

And here is a bonus tip for those of you who need a little extra ...

Use an under eye mask while getting ready.

Apply a set of under eye masks for 15-20 minutes while you are getting ready, or having breakfast, or whatever.  Eye masks often contain collagen, and other vitamins to help soothe the delicate under eye area.  AND if you keep them in the fridge the cooling helps reduce any puffiness.

Our Hadaka 24KT Gold Eye Masks can be used up to 3 times and at only $5 a pair, that's less than $1.75 per use!!  111SKIN Sub Zero Depuffing Eye Mask works wonders as well, but for a little more $$$.
